La Gorce is a classically rich and savoury Bordeaux red from vineyards overlooking the lower reaches of the Gironde. Approximately equal proportions of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon go into the blend which spends 12 to 18 months in barrique prior to bottling. The result is quite a powerful wine with blackcurrant, vanilla spice and liquorice flavours and aromas which lead onto a lengthy and satisfying finish.
